I believe every day is a good day to paint.

I am still climbing out of this hole so for now, I'm going to pretend I'm a good blogger and give you this killer video. Happy birthday to one of the coolest dudes ever, Bob Ross.

It's all I've got.

I tried to put a post together today but I don't have it in me. I'm drained, emotionally and spiritually and physically. This week has been incredibly hard and I'm drowning but trying to hold it all together. So I just have this...

Just go hug someone you love for me.

Elite Serum review and giveaway!

I've always had issues with bags under my eyes. I'm not sure if it's because I don't get enough sleep or what, but they've been a bother to me for as long as I can remember. That's why when I was contacted to do an eye cream review, I was all in.

SkinPro sent me their elite eye serum, Elite Serum™, to try. First things first - the "bottle" it comes in is awesome. It's like a gigantic needle without the actual needle part (I don't know what that part is called, sorry). The product itself is super light and goes a long way. You're supposed to use it twice a day and the bottle says it will last 45-60 days; I can definitely see it going for that long. I've been using Elite Serum for a little over a week now, and no joke, I can tell a difference. I would definitely recommend giving it a shot; it's the best eye cream I've tried.

Here's some scientific talk about Elite Serum... (Taken from their website. I'm not that smart.)

Elite Serum is a scientifically designed eye serum that is exclusively formulated using a combination of unique DNA precursor pool peptides. Use of this treatment is intended to effectively reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark circles, crow's feet and puffiness around the eyes. Regular application can significantly improve tone, firmness and skin elasticity while restoring a youthful looking eye contour for users of all ages.

And, with over 45,000 Facebook fans, Elite Serum is currently the most talked about anti-aging eye serum in the world. How's that for special?

!!!GIVEAWAY!!!

Just make sure you leave your comment by midnight MST on November 15th to be counted. *Spam comments will be deleted, so don't waste your time!*

Things you probably didn't want to know about yours truly.

I got this from the incredible Erin so blame her if you didn't want to know.

  • My name is Kendahl Jo Andrade. Named after my great grandpa Kendall and my daddy Joe.
  • My birthday is August 26, 1984. I'm a Virgo, to a T, with a splash of Leo when the ADHD kicks in.
  • I've got clinical depression, ADHD and OCD. I'm a basket case.
  • The husband and I got married Friday, July 13, 2007. That's 5 years. Which is A LOT. We've been together since Halloween 2005. That's 7 years. Which is EVEN MORE A LOT.
  • I was born and raised, and still live, in Utah. I kind of hate it here and had plans to move to Vegas and be a bartender but then the husband showed up and ruined my entire life. In the best way possible.
  • I am afraid of clowns and deer and losing people that I love. And also, peaches. No lie.
  • I love cupcakes and sugar and chocolate (just not chocolate cake or ice cream) and zombies and haunted places and my cat and loud music and fast cars and hockey and penguins and tesla coil music.
  • I don't love acoustic music or Green Day or reggae or drama or scorpions or earwigs or fake people or liars or bigots or hypocrites.

Now for the questions I'm s'pose to answer...

1.) Why do you blog?

I totally just covered this right hurrr.

2.) What do you blog about?
Everything except baby crap. For real.

3.) What do you find to be the biggest reward you get from blogging?
It's helpful to release all this crazy sometimes, even if it's just typing it out. Also, I get to meet people that are a little bit off like me. People that don't make me feel like I'm lost in a sea of different crazies.

4.) How long have you been blogging?
January of 2009... I think...

5.) Let’s hear the story behind your blog title!
"Not Your Every Day Mommy" because I'm not a mom every day and because I'm not a typical mom. Seriously, it's hilarious if you think about it. Laugh right now.

Now it's your turn!

Monday, October 8, 2012

Oh, Mondays.

September was an awfully busy month for us, and October hasn't let life slow down one bit. I slept in on Saturday for the first time since August, literally. Waking up to a purring kitty rather than an alarm clock is so wondrous.

We went wheeling yesterday and it was rather eventful. We were hanging out in the sun and people in a RAZR came by and asked if we had cell service and could call 911... a lady up the trail had rolled her 4-wheeler over the top of her and was hurt pretty bad. I got to be the lucky one (ha!) to call 911 and stay on the line with them and help them direct the helicopter to land close to us so they could help her. That was super exciting. Then the douchey search and rescue guys came and were really total dicks, even to the life flight paramedics. We're just trying to help save this woman's life, but, you know, be an ass about it. Awesome.

Why do people feel the need to blare their music, pretty loud, on their desk speakers? And then sing to it? On a Monday? It makes me stabby, people. Stabby.

I've decided if I die anytime soon I don't want to have a viewing and I would prefer to be cremated unless it bothers my loved ones too bad. I'm writing it here just in case there's any question about my decision.

Since I decided I want to cut my hair, it's all I can think about. It scares me. I've never been worried about cutting my hair but I've been growing it out for so long! Waah. First world problems.

I am down to two pairs of wearable jeans and one of the pairs is ripped at the knees and starting to rip at the butt pockets. Anyone have any good recommendations for places I can buy jeans where they sell 26x36 pants and don't believe my thighs are three inches around? I have some muscle, thank you. And fat. But mostly muscle. (ha again!)

I'm not ready for the cold to be here but I'll be damned if I'm not loving the color changes and getting ready for Halloween. I can't fathom the thought of snow right now though.

Do you ever fantasize about just smacking people across the face? Or is it just me?

How To Train Your Dragon LIVE! Yes please!

I am absolutely going to How To Train Your Dragon LIVE. It's going to be at the Energy Solutions Arena from January 10th through the 13th. I just got an email about it last week and tickets aren't on sale for Salt Lake yet but it is going to be in a ton of different cities and you should go for sure.

Tickets start at $19.50 and go up... There are a bunch of different VIP packages you can add on for more moolah. I seriously want to do the "Meet The Dragons".

You can bet I'll be watching for tickets to go on sale. Who's in?
