September was an awfully busy month for us, and October hasn't let life slow down one bit. I slept in on Saturday for the first time since August, literally. Waking up to a purring kitty rather than an alarm clock is so wondrous.
We went wheeling yesterday and it was rather eventful. We were hanging out in the sun and people in a RAZR came by and asked if we had cell service and could call 911... a lady up the trail had rolled her 4-wheeler over the top of her and was hurt pretty bad. I got to be the lucky one (ha!) to call 911 and stay on the line with them and help them direct the helicopter to land close to us so they could help her. That was super exciting. Then the douchey search and rescue guys came and were really total dicks, even to the life flight paramedics. We're just trying to help save this woman's life, but, you know, be an ass about it. Awesome.
Why do people feel the need to blare their music, pretty loud, on their desk speakers? And then sing to it? On a Monday? It makes me stabby, people. Stabby.
I've decided if I die anytime soon I don't want to have a viewing and I would prefer to be cremated unless it bothers my loved ones too bad. I'm writing it here just in case there's any question about my decision.
Since I decided I want to cut my hair, it's all I can think about. It scares me. I've never been worried about cutting my hair but I've been growing it out for so long! Waah. First world problems.
I am down to two pairs of wearable jeans and one of the pairs is ripped at the knees and starting to rip at the butt pockets. Anyone have any good recommendations for places I can buy jeans where they sell 26x36 pants and don't believe my thighs are three inches around? I have some muscle, thank you. And fat. But mostly muscle. (ha again!)
I'm not ready for the cold to be here but I'll be damned if I'm not loving the color changes and getting ready for Halloween. I can't fathom the thought of snow right now though.
Do you ever fantasize about just smacking people across the face? Or is it just me?
This definitely sounds like a Monday post ;) I cut my hair a few months ago and it's been driving me crazy. It looks cute but the fact that I can't really pull it back 100% into a ponytail makes me INSANE. I'm not really ready for the cold either... or the rain. Or the sleet/hail. But I do love wearing boots!
ReplyDeleteTry Sexy Modest in American Fork. I love their jeans.(have lots of other cute clothes too..ever been there? Wish I was skinner for all their cute stuff and wish I could afford more...don't we all.) I own two pair and love them. They might be up for giving you a pair if you offer a post / giveway for them too :) They contacted me last April and for doing the giveaway I got an item of choice. Got the jeans and LOVE them! https://www.facebook.com/SexyModest
ReplyDeleteBeen debating cutting my hair too. Every time it gets just past shoulder length it drives me crazy til I do. I hate mine takes so long to grow this length so I keep changing my mind. When I get to where I always put it in a pony tail I make myself cut a style or shorter so I have no choice but to take the time to do it down LOL but with a baby..I am lucky if it gets out of a pony for long. He is obsessed with playing with my hair. Crazy kid.
Seems every year more and more I dread the snow and cold weather. Use to love it. Not so much anymore. Still love the hot chocolate, taking the kids sledding (but not freezing while doing so) and cuddling on the couch watching it snow outside!
Smacking someone.. . yep. Quite often actually. Brandon and I were just talking about that tonight.
Hope the rest of your week is fabulous!
Damn that IS exciting! You're pretty much a hero!
ReplyDeleteI HATE buying jeans. It used to be so easy - I knew what brand I liked and I could just grab a pair off the rack and be done with it. Then I had a kid. My body is so stupidly proportioned now!
And yes, sometimes visualizing smackdowns is the only way I can get through the day.
Hope you have a great weekend!
