Hallelujah that it's the weekend. Last year around this time, work was winding down from the hectic life of December printing, life was slowing down from the hectic life of Christmas and the New Year, and all was well. This year, it seems like things won't slow down! Work is still totally slammed and making me bonkers. Just one slow day would be nice, but alas, no such luck.
I've had a kidney infection for two weeks. My house has not really been cleaned since before Christmas because I've been sick. It's, well, disgusting. I woke up this morning feeling pretty alright, compared to the last couple of weeks, so I have been cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. And now I feel like HELL again. But at least my house is clean!
You can tell when Punk hasn't seen us for awhile because she gets clingy. Like, will not leave your side clingy. Poor thing. I wish we lived closer so we could do more of a split schedule, like she could stay with us one week and with her Mom the next, but it's just not doable in the current situation. To get her to school and me to work on time, I'd have to leave the house at 6am and have us both ready at that point. Not fun for either of us, I think.
My Christmas tree is still up. Better than that, it's still alive! Thanks to Shibby and her Mountain Man for going up into that cold mountain and cutting me down a fresh tree. I think one and a half months and still a very lively tree is pretty good.
When's the next three-day weekend? I kinda like that schedule.
