Random Thought Tuesday - On Time and All!

Is it Tuesday that everyone else does this? It seems like it would make more sense on Thursday, because then the alliteration would be there... I would Google it or something but I'm just too lazy.

I am getting pretty excited for our vacation (three weeks away!), not really because I like Disneyland, but because I know Punk is going to have so much fun. I cannot wait to get pictures with the Princesses, and take her in the ocean, and see Vegas at night. I'd like to think that makes me a somewhat good Mommy... that I can get enjoyment out of her enjoyment. Right?

We are staying in the Luxor on the way home from California and I've always wanted to stay in the Luxor and I'm ECSTATIC. Plus we're going to the shark reef again and I can't wait. Have I mentioned I am totally enthralled by sharks? I ♥ them.

Punk talks about my parents and grandparents and says how she loves them and loves to see them. And it melts my heart. Knowing that my family can show her so much love and get it right back is incredible.

Why is it so hard for grown adults to let go of stupid bullshit? I left the High School mentality behind even before I actually left High School; why is it that some people seem to hold onto the drama and stupidity? I get that you got into a fight with so-and-so but at 30-something, do you really think it's okay to get mad at other people for hanging out with so-and-so? Don't you think it's a bit juvenile?

I really want to go to Australia. Thanks Annah. But instead, I might go visit our little friend Oscar the Kangaroo tonight, and give him cuddles. Kangaroos are so damn adorable.

Lately I've been in this mood where I really don't care how it's going to affect the people I'm talking to when I'm talking. Anything and everything I think comes out and I may have hurt some feelings along the way. But I'm so annoyed by things that I don't think I care.

I hate un-painted toenails. I trimmed my toenails and the polish was chipping so I took it off, but didn't have time to re-paint them. And I hate it. Toes are so ugly. Okay, feet are so ugly. Toes are just the disgusting icing on the wretched cake, so to speak.

I will be 26 in one month from today. 26 on the 26th. When I was little I always thought that was so cool, to turn an age on that age's day, but I think it's lost its magic as I've gotten older.

I can't stand when people's argument for me to have kids is "it's different when they're your own". I would like to think that I love Punk just as much as I would ever love 'my own' child. It seems stupid to me. If humans cannot learn to love someone else's child as their own, what's the point? If that's really the case, why do people adopt? Why do we as step-parents even try?

I'm Gonna Punch You in the Ovary, That's What I'm Gonna Do. A Straight Shot. Right to the Babymaker.

Will Ferrell = one of the funniest people ever. I realized last night that like 90% of the movies I quote are his. Step Brothers, Old School, Anchorman, Talladega Nights... oh boy.

Anyway, it's time for GTKY! (Getting to know you, in case you are just tuning in.)

1. Thong or Granny Panties?
I don't own a single pair of 'granny panties'. I have shorty shorts and thongs. That is all.

2. If you see a guy with his fly down, do you tell him?
Hahaha nope. I just giggle to myself and sometimes ask him if he grew up in a barn. Unless it's Husband's fly - I don't want any other ladies getting a sneak peek. ;)

3. Spanx or no Spanx?
I have a Spanx bra that I wear to work out in, but other than that, no Spanx. Not yet, anyway.

4. Do you sleep in your sheets?
Augh, no! If I can't wiggle and thrash about while I sleep, I don't sleep. Please don't try to confine me.

5. What is your favorite Disney character?
Tinkerbell

6. Dream vacation spot?
Australia

7. What is your dream job?
Baker / chocolatier

8. Who is your hero and why?
I have lots of heros for lots of different reasons. Anyone that stands up for themselves and doesn't care what people think about them is my hero. Anyone that can be happy in the body they were born with is my hero. People that are fighting for our country at the risk of their own lives are all my heros.

Didn't I Tell You CSNstores.com Has It ALL?

You guys know me by now, yes? I'm weird and strange and random. And weird. CSNstores.com gave me the chance to do a review with them, but rather than provide me with something, they gave me the option to get what I pleased, and that I did. I introduce you to...

My random purchases. Coming to theatres this October.

Clockwise, from the top left (according to placement on the table): a RonCo Veg-O-Matic, a tub full of foam numbers and letters, a package of the best pens to ever walk this planet, and a package of fun-colored feathers.

Excuse me, Dr. Freud? What does this all mean?

I finally own my first RonCo product, and I'm pretty excited about it. I grew up watching these infomercials every Saturday morning, and I finally own a piece of the dream. Also, I couldn't wait long enough to get a picture before I ripped the turquoise pen out and started writing on whatever I could get my hands on. Sorry again, Turbo.

Now, didn't I tell you that you could find pretty much whatever you want at CSNstores.com? They have RonCo and As Seen On TV items, they have craft items, they have mirrors, they have kitchenware, they have knives... I could go on all day. Please, for the good of us all, go check them out when you are in need of anything. I bet they've got it.

Tropical Traditions Review and Giveaway

Is it just me, or does the flavor citrus mint make you happy? I hear citrus mint, and I just want to smell it. A lot. It's such an odd combination, but I dig those types of combos (bacon and chocolate, chocolate and salt, hot and sour...)

I most recently got to try the Tropical Traditions exfoliator, in a citrus mint flavor. And oh boy, is it yummy. The smell is absolutely incredible, but even better than the smell, is how it makes my skin feel. It's got a rough enough texture to take off the tough skin, but then it's amazingly moisturizing so your body doesn't feel rough when you are done using it. I even ran it quickly over my heels and could feel the difference from just a second. This exfoliator would be incredible for a pedicure. I will be trying it soon. Plus seriously, the smell is intoxicating. I like it lots!

Now, for the good part. Want to win a bottle of this amazing stuff? Enter to win now, while the gettin's good.

First entry - leave me a comment. Really, really want to try it? Get some bonus entries; just make sure to leave me a comment for each thing you do!

--visit Tropical Traditions and tell me another of their products you would like to try
--sign up for their newsletter (3 entries! leave 3 comments, please)
--Follow this blog
--Follow me on Twitter, and tweet about this giveaway, with a link to the giveaway
--Add my button to your site
--Blog about the giveaway and leave me the link
--Leave a comment on one of my non-giveaway posts [tell me which you left your comment on... please?]

I'll pull a winner using random.org. All entries up until midnight MST on Sunday, August 8th will count, so be sure to comment before then so you can be eligible to win!

And now, for something completely different... I mean, the disclosure. I got a bottle of the exfoliator for free to try out, and post a review if I chose to. I was not forced to do any review, and definitely not a positive review. I just love the product, all of my own free will.

Oh What a Beautiful Morning! -- Yeah, What the F#$@ Ever

There are a few different types of waking up (for me, at least).

First, is the natural wake-up. Get up when my body feels is ready to get up. Feel relaxed, and happy, and ready for the day. This very rarely happens after 7:30 because I don't really ever sleep late, but still, waking up on your own is much better than being forcefully woken up by some obnoxious sound.

Second, is the alarm wake-up. Groan, want to cry, feel like hell, but get up anyway and go forward with my life. Terrible, but as I learned this morning, not the worst way to be forced out of bed.

Third, is what I experienced this morning. The cement truck wake-up. This causes anger and violence and all sorts of unhappy things to happen.

Not wanting to break any sound ordinances, they got to our house at 6:03am this morning. A solid three minutes after the sound ordinance lifts. Ugghh REALLY? We didn't expect them until 6:30am, which would have been fine because that's what time my alarm goes off. But that extra 27 minutes is very important to me! I've never felt so sluggish in my life. I imagine this is what it feels like to be woken up by a prison guard slamming his metal bar thingie across the cell bars. Horrible.

But at least we will have the concrete done! I was going to take pictures but was too busy being angry and bitter at the concrete guys.

Ran and Walked and Jogged a Mile Last Night

A full mile in 17 minutes and 10 seconds. I feel pretty neutral about it - before I started I felt like I was going to do a lot better than that but about a minute into it, I set a goal of 17 minutes so I didn't miss the mark by that much.

This gives me so much respect for my Mom - she can do a 5K in like 30 minutes! (In case you didn't know, a 5K is ~3.1 miles.) And she's going to be 50 this year... Way to go Mom! And yes, I did just tell all six of my readers that you're going to be 50 but you should be proud, you look way younger.

My eventual goal is to be able to run it with my amazing Momma. But my real-time goal is to be able to do a 5K at all, and then to be able to do it in 45 minutes, and then 40 minutes, and then 35 minutes, and then I'll be running it with her. Some day.

If I am able to keep my pace for all three-and-some miles (which right now is a BIG if) my estimated time is around 53 minutes. I need to get one of those band things that registers distance and also heart rate and calories burned so that I can keep track of all of it but do it outside instead of on the treadmill. Any suggestions?

Have You Any Idea Why a Raven is Like a Writing Desk?

And now for your viewing pleasure, this week's edition of...

Getting To Know You!

Which is really me, unless you also answer the questions. So really, getting to know us would be awesome. C'mon now children, play along! Comment or post it on your blog or whatever, just help me feel like I'm not all alone in this teapot.

1. If you had to choose a country to live in besides USA (or the country you live in), which would it be?
Australia or New Zealand. Can I answer with two answers? Of course I can, this is my game!

2. Which would be worse, wearing flip flops in the snow or wearing gloves in the summer?
Flip flops in the snow. Bring on the gloves man, bring them on.

3. Fried or Bake and why?
That seems like an awfully broad question. (Yes, that is some sort of fat joke.) I really like cupcakes baked rather than fried but I would rather have my potato chips or mushrooms fried. Deep, deep fried.

4. If you were an entertainment reporter, which celeb would you love to interview and why?
Angelina Jolie, because she's hot. Johnny Depp, for the same reason.

5. What was your favorite book as a preteen/teenager?
I do and always have loved Mr. Popper's Penguins the best.

6. List your top 3 guilty pleasure television shows.
Any of the "... Of Love" shows, Deadliest Catch, Chelsea Lately

7. What bumper sticker slogan best describes you/your attitude/your life?
Um... I really don't know. I would never put a bumper sticker on anything unless it was a rock crawler and then just the "I understand the Jeep thing; that's why I drive Toyota" (hehehahaha that's a good one) but let's say... "Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things" Oh boy, that's pretty awesome. In no way does it describe me, but I like it. And that's good enough.

8. If you were to join a circus - what performer would you be?
The lion tamer! I have lots of practice...

brandon and jakell

Yay! My latest friend to get pregnant! :) I've e-mailed you, you've got 48 hours to get back to me... you know the drill. Thanks to all that entered!

Never Let Go Jack! Never Let Go!

Sooooo not a favorite movie, but the line is classic. I cracked up while watching that movie as everyone around me was in tears.

I am sorry I abandoned you. Do you hate me? I all of a sudden got really, really, really, really, really, really super busy at work and when that happens, nothing else happens in my life. Blech. Anyway, it's back to kind of normal now, so I am kind of back. Cool? So, here are the questions of the week, from MannLand5.

1. What is YOUR definition of sexy?
Confidence. That makes the entire difference.

2. Would you rather clean up puke or change a poopy diaper?
Oh boy, I'm a sympathy puker so definitely poopy diaper. I don't handle vomit well.

3. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Totally introverted at first, but then as soon as I get to know you, watch out. Completely opposite.

4. If you had to give up one of your 5 senses for a year... which one would you give up?
I'm going to have to think about this one. I'll be back...

Okay, I've decided I can't live without taste or sound for sure, and I would have a really hard time without sight, as well as seeing, so I'll have to go with smell. I could probably do without smell.

5. Cake or Pie?
Cupcakes!

6. If you could play any character on TV (old or current) who would you play?
Well, I don't really watch a lot of TV. My favorite show is House, so let's say Thirteen from House.

7. My favorite website is.....?
I have so many I look at all the time. Favorite is relative.

8. The highlight of my day is....?
Leaving work! Hahaha seriously though, that part is pretty good. I don't know that I could classify the highlight.

I'm Gonna Come At You Like A Spider Monkey!

Am I the only person that thinks Will Ferrell is one of the funniest people alive? I love pretty much every movie he's ever been in.

I may just start doing this once a week after today. We'll see. :)

1. If a person has a booger in their nose, and you can see it, do you tell them?
Usually, but some people I would totally let them go all day without telling them. (Just don't get on my bad side, okay?)

2. What are you passionate about?
Family, loyalty, crafting, going fast, adrenaline, ice cream, living my life, making people around me happy

3. How long have you been blogging?
Almost a year and a half

4. What is your favorite "summer" drink?
Do snow cones count as drinks? I love snow cones.

5. What is your favorite type of music?
That depends on the day. I listen to almost anything, and what type depends on what type of mood I'm in. I like country, rap, old school rap (they are two totally separate music styles), pop, hip hop, rock, butt rock, hardcore metal... basically anything except John Mayer-type music.

6. Something I do before I go to bed is...
Check that the doors are locked.

7. My Summer vacation plans are...
Lots of sand dunes, hopefully truck races, and Disneyland

8. My favorite must have, can't live without, beauty product is...
Lip balm. I can't live without it, seriously. I go through tubes of that stuff in weeks.

If We Wanted Wussies, We Woulda Named 'Em Doctor Quinn and Medicine Woman!

Bwahahahaha I'm sorry but now it's funny to me. You totally told me you wanted me to do this and now? I bet you wish you had never said it. LOL I promise I'll stop someday.

Check out MannLand5 to play along, if you'd like. Or just do it and let me know, so I can check out your answers. Or answer my questions in a comment! Anyway you participate will make me happy. Then I'm not the only crazy in the bunch.

1. What do you look forward to the most on the 4th of July?
I love fireworks! Really, I could watch them every day.

2. Are you a hugger?
Yah. I'm annoying like that.

3. What is your favorite BBQ'd food?
Everything BBQ'd is my favorite. I love steak, chicken, ribs, pineapple, veggies, kabobs... everything except seafood, which is good under no circumstances.

4. Do you like to watch parades?
I went to the parade this year for the first time in a LOOOOONG time, and I can say I would not go every year. But there were fun parts.

5. Who has stinkier farts..boys or girls?
BOYS! Boys are gross.

6. Vampires or Werewolves?
It all depends on which kind. The 'Twilight' type - neither. But, if we're talking Bram Stoker's vampires, then oh baby! Vampires, totally.

7. Do you read your horoscope?
I read it when I come across it, but I don't seek it out every day.

8. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Amaretto with maraschino cherries and cookie dough. Or sour watermelon with marshmallows.

The Sorceror's Apprentice Sneak Peek!

Did you guys know that at heart, I am a total dork? Seriously, I'm a geek. The new Disney movie coming out, The Sorceror's Apprentice, totally plays to the geekiness in my heart! It looks super cool. We were watching Hannah Montana last night (don't be jealous I had such an outstanding Friday night) and they did a special preview and it made me want to see it even more. Want a sneak peek?

It comes out in theatres July 14th. I hardly ever see movies in the theatre, but this one looks like it might need to be seen on a huge screen so you can take in all of the special effects.

Plus, they are totally up on today's trends - you can check them out on Facebook or Twitter!

Who's coming with me?

I Was Talking About The Fight! I Am So Not A Raper!

Guys? Are you still there? Please don't leave me; I'll cry! Or I will continue to post random things about me, because now I can't stop. Until I run out of questions. And then I'll find something else to do.

1. What color do you wear the most?
I have a lot of pink and a lot of white.

2. Would you rather have $10,000 dollars or a dream vacation?
A dream vacation. To Australia.

3. Do you have a weird, quirky or unusual habit?
Do you want me to start a list, right now? I have to put lotion on after I wash my hands. I organize my candy before I eat it. I have to get ready in a certain order (brush my teeth, wash my face, put make-up on, do my hair). I can't eat my food if it touches other food. I check doors to make sure they are locked. I have to even things out; e.g. if I scratch my right arm I have to scratch my left arm to even it out. I could go on for a long time.

4. I really need to start..........?
Exercising more. Cooking at home more.

5. What was the first blog you ever read?
Hmm. I really can't remember.

6. Do you collect anything?
Just strange habits and more OCD tendencies. Oh, and cupcake memorabilia. I will have to take pictures for the blog one day.

7. How old were you when you had your first kiss?
At what age does it count? The first time I kissed a boy, I think I was 6. And then I punched him in the arm.

8. Do you text/twitter while driving?
Not usually, but sometimes if I really need to send something right then I will.

I Wish I Liked Anything As Much As My Kids Like Bubbles

You guys, it's really getting ridiculous. And funny. But mostly ridiculous. And now I can't stop, because then it wouldn't be as funny; it would just be sad. Right?

1. Do you iron your sheets?
O.M.G. I don't iron anything, but especially not my sheets. I don't even make my bed.

2. Your dream car is....?
I have a few levels of dream cars. The top level (never really own) is a 1995 Le Mans racing-modified McLaren F1 in black. The mid level (own if I ever win the lottery) is a Saleen S7. The lower level (will have in the next few years) is a Lexus IS-F.

3. Do you have an innie or an outie belly button?
Innie! Outie belly buttons freak me out. Sorry if you have one.

4. What meal do you look forward to the most..breakfast, lunch, or dinner?
I don't eat breakfast unless it's at dinnertime, but I look forward to that a lot.

5. Favorite mascara?
I am currently in the process of trying to figure that out. I've been somewhat unsucessful thus far. I am open to suggestions!

6. What would you say your decorating style is..traditional, modern, eclectic, country, french country, shabby chic, etc..?
Well, I don't really decorate. So what style is that? When I do decorate, I would say I am pretty modern.

7. Have you ever been skinny dipping?
I am pleading the fifth on this one.

8. I hate the smell of...?
Oh, there are so many things! Poop. Vomit. Most flowers. Most colognes and perfumes. Deodorant. Certain papers. Ink. Steamed broccoli. Sweaty children. Wet dogs. Feet.

Wordless Wednesday: That About Sums It Up

[really wordless this time!]

Are Not! Are Too! D2! Ohh, Good One Harry

I love movie quotes. Did you know? If you know the last one, you should know this one too.

Are you tired of me yet? Just tell me if you are and I'll stop. Or I won't.

1. Mens chests..hairy or hairless?
I was going to say I didn't care - just go natural, but I really wouldn't want to cuddle with a guy who was practically an ape, so... hairy to a point. Don't shave or wax; that's freaky.

2. How often do you run red lights?
I try to not ever run them. I'd rather wait a few minutes than kill someone or myself.

3. If you could raid any celebrity's closet..whose would you raid?
Lady Gaga. LOL seriously though, probably Carrie Underwood because she's not super high maintenance but has some nice things to wear when needed.

4. Would you rather have more followers/friends on Facebook, Twitter, or your Blog?
My blog, because I post here the most.

5. What makes you feel sexy?
I can't really put this into words... it's more actions than anything. When Husband is turned on simply from me, I love that.

6. I get excited when...........?
I get new scrapbook paper. When I can drive fast. When Husband takes me to get Chinese food. When I get ice cream. When a project is finished. When we go to the sand dunes. These open-ended questions are fun!

7. Are you the "outdoorsy" type or more "indoorsy"?
Outdoors-y.

8. Would you rather have your dream home or a million dollars?
A million dollars! My dream home is pretty small and I could definitely build it for a fraction of the million, so I would have plenty left over.

KinderCare Blog Tour

Have you ever heard of KinderCare? It's a place where they care, for your kinders. Got it?

Okay, they provide child care. And I am here to tell you more about them! First of all, one of my very favoritest persons on this planet (read: Shibber-me-Timbers) went to KinderCare when she was little, and I think she turned out pretty fantastic. That's a 100% good turnout right there, kids. So chances are, if you take your kids there, they will turn out fantastic as well.

In a nationwide survey of parents, KinderCare Learning Centers learned that when selecting a school, 76% of parents are most concerned that their school of choice employs quality and passionate teachers and 80% want to know that their child is excited to take part in activities while at school. I know that while Shelby was going there, she loved it. She loved her teachers, she loved her classmates; all a very good experience.

If I ever lose my mind and decide to have a baby, I am sure I will still work and so will need a daycare center. I think to me the most important thing would be teachers that really care about the needs of the children, and then a school that provides learning opportunities for the littles. KinderCare has both.

Check out their website to get locations and learn more about their amazing-ness!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of KinderCare Learning Centers and received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.

You Think That's Bad? Somebody Bit Me In The Forehead!

Ten bonus points if you can name that movie. (Shibby my darling, you don't count becuase I know you know it!) Are you tired of getting to know me yet? I would be. But I think it's hysterical. At some point, I will run out of questions... then what do I do?

1. Hair color..Au naturale..or not?
Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids! I'm TOTALLY a natural blonde. Every 10 weeks.

2. If somebody has food in their teeth or lipstick on their teeth do you tell them?
Yes, of course, because I would hope they would tell me if the tables were turned.

3. Would you rather have a million dollars or your vision of the perfect body?
Perfect body. Happiness over money.

4. Favorite magazine?
I used to read Cosmo quite a bit but now, nothing.

5. Bra style..lacey or plain?
Plain bra! Lacey panties. :)

6. If you walked into Victoria's Secret..would you most likely come out with something sexy or comfy?
Ohhh, depends on the day. If it's for everyday wear, comfy. But special occasions? Sexy.

7. Do you fake and bake?
Fake AND bake? Or just fake bake? Yes on both counts. Figure that out.

8. What's your favorite body part on a man?
*snicker* you can't ask questions like this and expect me not to think bad things! Hahaha the first thing I notice is the eyes, so let's go with that.

How To Go From 'Blech' to 'Finally, My Own Space!'

Before:

Step 1 - get rid of all pastels, tulips, butterflies and whatever else may exist that is SO not you.

Step 2 - pick something popular, like the "power wall" for example, and do the opposite (the white wall is the power wall)

Step 2b - be an obnoxious customer and take a Pantone book to the paint store to have them match a wall color to. Then have them name it something rad, like "kick-ass nitro blue".

Step 4 - make it yours.

I'm still trying to decide if I like the damask on the one wall or not. Half of me hates it, half of me loves it. Opinions? The blue is pretty amazing, and I love the one white wall. I still feel like it needs something; I'm just not sure what that something is yet.

PS - I think I have too much craft stuff! All of what you can see, plus the entire closet full. Anyone want to come over and craft with me? I've got plenty of supplies!

Getting To Know You, Getting To Know All About Youuuuuuuuu!

Or, all about me. That's right kids, I'm not done yet. In fact, I'm quite enjoying myself! Thanks for asking.

1. Where were you born?
Orem, UT

2. Toilet paper..do you crinkle/crumple or fold it?
Crumple

3. What was the last movie you saw in the theater?
Where The Wild Things Are

4. What room to you spend the most time in besides your bedroom?
My crizzaft room!

5. Would you be grossed out if you found out your husband/boyfriend/significant other hadn't brushed their teeth for 4 days and you had been snogging (kissing) them?
Um, yah! Who wouldn't? That freaks me out. PS, I love that it says snogging. That's so Harry Potter. :) (Please don't tell me it's actually English; I know that. But English is Harry Potter to me, so deal with it. Mmmkay?)

6. Do you fold your underwear?
They are too small to fold. I just dump them all in a drawer. But I do fold Punk's undies.

7. What is one goal you would like to achieve this year?
Um, well, erm... I want to get the house to feel like home. Yah, that sounds good.

8. What is your favorite month/least favorite month?
Favorite? August, because it's super hot and it's also my birthday month. Least favorite? January. No holidays (New Year's doesn't really count because it's the first) and snow and cold and blech.

Happy Independence Day!

Independence Day is one of my favorite Holidays, because it's during the summer so it's warm, there are fireworks, and we get a day off of work. Doesn't get much better than that.

Thanks for signing that Declaration, founding fathers! I appreciate you.

We have had quite the weekend so far, and are up for more fun tomorrow. I can't wait! The actual Holiday, however, is filled with cleaning and laundry. Awwww. But, yesterday and tomorrow will totally make up for that. And hopefully some crafting along the way. Yesterday, we woke up SUPER early to go see this:

Let's check out that main shot:

Oh, I am so in love with that sun spot. Click on it to see it bigger, for real. I'm awfully proud of that one!

Sadly enough, it was too windy for most of the balloons to take off, so we're going back tomorrow to hopefully watch all 25 take off. Only three got to go yesterday. So, up SUPER early again tomorrow to see them again! And then the parade. And then who knows what but even Husband has the day off so it should be fun!

About three minutes from our house, there is a guy that owns all sorts of cool creatures, and we often stop by just to see the animals. He has baby pigs, baby goats (which are the cutest things EVER!), black swans, geese, ducks, fish, Highland cattle (Google them, seriously; they are so cute!), a jackass, turkeys, a great dane named Mowgli... and you can get up close and personal with them all! But our absolute favorite is Oscar. Not green or ornery, Oscar is cute and cuddly and likes to chew on sleeves. This is Oscar:

All together now: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! He is so freaking cute. And we are so lucky to live so close to a house with all of these fun pets to go look at and pet, in some cases. Seriously, this little guy is incredibly soft. I never knew kangaroos were so cuddly. What a good weekend, eh?

WHAAAAAAAT? Again?

Yah, because you asked for it. Get over it, would ya? Get to know ME, y'all! I want all of you to go post at least one of these, too. Because I want to get to know YOU, too.

1. What's your favorite Easter candy?
Those big peanut butter eggs. Those are the perfect ratio of peanut butter to chocolate and I could literally eat an entire bag in one sitting.

2. Who do you think is cleaner..men or women?
Typically, I think women are.

3. Which do you prefer..wordy blog posts or ones with pictures?
I like both!

4. Were you popular in highschool?
Not at all, seriously.

5. What's your bra size?
34DD. I told you I was top heavy. They're real, and they're spectacular. :)

6. How many states have you lived in?
Just one. How sad.

7. What's one blog you read every day?
Freaking Pioneer Woman, I can't quit her.

8. Peanut butter or Nutella?
Yummmmmmmmm Nutella! Oh how I love Nutella. Side note - Shelby is a sissy and won't eat Nutella because of a horrible experience with Vegimite (eww). Sissy pants.

Getting To Know You (Me) Some More!

I am going to do this until you all beg me to stop. And then one more time, just for good measure.

1. Are you more of a talker or a listener?
Depends on the person I'm with and the day and whether or not I took my pills that morning. But generally, a listener.

2. Bra. Underwire or wireless?
Underwire! I'm top heavy; I've got to have support!

3. I wish I was.....?
Naturally blonde. Shorter. More patient. Less OCD. More spontaneous. Over my bike accident so I wasn't so scared to ride the Banshee. Stronger. A better Mom.

4. The Academy Awards are on tonight..will you watch?
I didn't watch. I don't really watch much TV.

5. Do you put your deodorant on before or after you get dressed?
After.

6. Would you rather do the dishes or clean toilets?
Do the dishes!

You Totally Asked For This

Now you've gone and done it... You asked me to post a Getting To Know You every day! WTH? Do you know what you've done? You will learn.

But, I am bored and my e-mail server is down so literally, I have nothing to do, so here it goes. Another 'Getting To Know You', straight from MannLand5. I dug through her archives to find more questions. You guys are in trouble.

1. Have you ever snooped around someone else's house?
Bwahahaha, yes. I recommend doing it at least once.

2. Can guys and girls be friends?
I used to only have guy friends, and I'd like to believe that yes, friendship is possible and not all of them wanted to jump my bones. But the Husband doesn't believe it is possible, unless the girl is ugly. :|

3. Can you curl your tongue?
Heck yes! I wish I could do that clover thing though, I try and try but it never works.

4. Have you ever stolen anything?
Yah, unfortunately. Karma is a bitch; keep that in mind, kids.

5. Would you rather talk on the phone or text?
It all depends on the person. Some people it's easier to call and get it over with, and some people it's way easier to text because every time you call them it turns into a 45-minute conversation that has basically no relevance.

6. Memorial Day plans?
We went to the sand dunes. (Sorry, old questions.)

7. What do you do to relax?
I like to read and craft and drive really fast and take bubble baths and organize and clean. All at the same time. (Picture it.)

8. Do you do anything to honor those that have died fighting for our freedom?
I keep them in my memories but nothing more special than that, because I have no heart. Really though, I wish I did more.

Getting To Know You

So, I found this cool meme through Sara at Savvy Stitcher and I kinda like it! It comes from MannLand5. Now I just need to remember to do it every week. That's the hard part. (Like remembering to take my pills. Just too damn many things to do in between the thought and the action!) Anyway, here ya go. TMI of the week.

The Questions

1. If you had 5000.00 to spend on plastic surgery what would you have done?Ohh, that's a tough one. Right this second? My nose. But in a few years when I get a little saggy in the chest area, totally my boobs. I never want saggy boobs; that makes me sad.

2. Do you watch Soap operas and if so what is your favorite and why?
I've never watched a full soap opera! I've caught bits and pieces of them throughout the years, but neer got into that. Though, I really loved The OC which is kind of a soap opera for teens. So, The OC.

3. Favorite clothing brand?
Aeropostale for shirts, Vanity for jeans

4. An afternoon shopping spree at your favorite store or maid service for a year?
Afternoon shopping spree, for sure. I don't mind cleaning much.

5. Would you ever vajazzle?
Ewww, no thanks! It's just fine as is. :P But I would totally Boobdazzle. That would be awesome.

6. Favorite Disney Princess?
Does Tinkerbell count? If not her, then Tiana from The Princess and The Frog.

7. Last movie that made you bawl your eyes out?
I can't remember the last time I cried watching a movie.

8. Have you ever broken any bones and if so what?
In chronological order: elbow, nose, knee, multiple fingers and knuckles, knee cap, pinky toe, big toe

I Might Be A Russian Spy

Somebody I work with told me. Which is news to me, as I'm neither Russian nor aware of my spying duties and so am probably doing a horrible job at it. Anyway...

I'm bored. And my stomach keeps growling but seriously kids, I do not feel hungry. WTH is wrong with my stomach? Shut up already; you're being obnoxious. People are beginning to wonder if I'm talking to myself in Bison or something. (Yes, that's totally a language. Don't question me.)

I finally couldn't take it anymore and painted my own room in our new house because I needed a space that was mine and not anyone else's. It's freaking adorable, and if I can stop slacking, I will post pictures tonight. You'll love it. Or else.

I just want to make something. If I weren't at work right now (not that I'm blogging at work or anything) I would be home creating something. I am so happy to have a new craft room to go home and be crafty in! I can't wait. I have no idea what I'm going to make but I know it will be fantastic.

You ever have those days where your mind is running a million miles a minute and from one train of thought to the next? I find it's a whole lot easier to keep to myself on days like those (today) because it is hard for people to keep up with me and my brain. Unless you're Shelby and then she totally follows because apparently, ADHD is a genetic disorder and crazy also seems to run in the family. Right now my brain is jumping from one subject to the next - what I want to make tonight and then where it's going to go, what to cook for dinner, what the yard is going to look like after all is said and done - and hundreds of other things that I assume no normal people think about on a day-to-day basis (seriously; I find it hard to believe anyone but me would think about organizing the cans in the pantry by heighth and then alphabetically).

When we first moved in to this house, I hated living there so much because it didn't feel like home and I didn't feel safe there; I went to this mental place where I felt like my entire life was temporary and I didn't need to take care of anything that really keeps me sane because it would all be changing soon. Have you ever felt like you were living a borrowed life? Like everything around you (even the non-tangibles) was someone else's and you were just going to have to give it all back? I finally broke a couple of weeks ago and realized that like it or not, this was going to be home for the next three to five years, and have since then been endlessly organizing the entire house - the closets, the kitchen, the pantry, the cat... Things are slowly getting back to normal in my brain as well (hrm... not sure my "normal" is anyone else's "normal") because my OCD is finally back on track. (And the peasants rejoiced!)

Now that I've released the beast, I can't keep anything under control in my thought processes. I have already planned to redo the downstairs living room so I can move the second TV, couches, and exercise stuff down there to be our second living room, and then turn the room where all of that is now, into Punk's room.

I think I need to stop now. If you're still reading, congratulations! I don't know if I would have made it. Have a great Thursday!
