Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk Review

I am not really a big fan of plain milk (the kind from a cow, anyway), but I love me some chocolate milk. It's just so darn good! Add chocolate to something not that great, and you've got yourself something amazing. Chocolate is a cure-all. :) (Have you ever tried frosted flakes with chocolate milk? Do it sometime. It's fantastic.)

I was given the opportunity to try some of the Horizon Organic chocolate milk, and I figured, it's got to be good. It's chocolate milk. But, it's also organic AND it has DHA Omega-3, which if you didn't know, is this cool stuff that supports brain development throughout your life and also supports heart, brain and eye health. What I take that to mean, is that this chocolate milk rocks! For everyone in the family, but especially for the littles.

So, what do I think of Horizon Organic chocolate milk (plus DHA Omega-3, of course)? It's wonderful! Exactly what chocolate milk should be - chocolatey and yummy. I love it, and the Husband loves it! And he is a picky person so that says something. Seriously, it's really good and with the added health benefits, and the fact that it's organic, you should try some and love it with me.

And so you know, I was provided with coupons for free milk from Horizon Organic, but my opinions are not changed based on that fact. They provided me with information about the milk, but I chose to post my opinion all by myself.

  1. Unfortunately, Horizon ultra-pasteurizes their milk. That means they heat it to a ridiculously high temperature killing EVERYTHING in it that makes milk worth drinking. In fact, ultra pasteurized milk is so dead that it doesn't need to be refrigerated. It could sit on the shelf next to the frosted flakes and be A-OK. The only reason it's in the refrigerator section is to give the appearance of being normal milk. No joke, look it up. It's really quite awful for you, delicious as it may be.
