So, I am still relatively new to the blogging world. How many of you out there are as well? Put your hands up! Well, I have a small secret for you. When I first started blogging, I found a bunch of different forums that were all blogger-related, and I signed up for a few. All of them, I felt like I was the last one in the club and wasn't welcome. I was completely sick of all of the drama and crap-talking and favoritism [is that even a word?] and just plain high school BS within about 2 weeks. I had one forum in particular [I won't mention any names] that I seriously posted and chatted and tried my absolute hardest to be included, and it did nothing. No one responded to my posts, no one would help me out when I needed comments; nothing. Plus, I think they were rigging their giveaways so that their little group of girls always won. But that's an entirely different story...
Then I found MomDot. I know there is a lot of crap out there about this site and the "leader of the pack" [or are we a flock?] Trisha, but I can tell you from personal experience that I've NEVER felt more included in a group online! The girls and few guys there are so nice and they actually respond when I have questions and if I need something, they are there. I really appreciate that I found this place because I was ready to give up after the last site!

I understand exactly how you feel! I actually had acouple of friends with blogs and thought they would be supportive and helpful...but it only turned ugly! It's amazing how many people look at this as a competition, a race, and a full force drag out wrestling match! I'm not that type at all and was surprised to be met with what could be considered almost anamosity. I found Momdot ages ago but never visited...I am now and love it!

I love MOMDOT, too. It is the only community (outside GIFTSNC) that I am active in. There's always someone there to answer my questions or give me support.

I was sent the link over a year ago but was worried since I wasn't a mom that I wouldn't be welcomed but I have to say that has yet to come up once and I am so happy to find a community where I can learn about blogging and find some new people to visit and follow as well.
