Build-A-Bear Review and Giveaway

I’m sure you’ve all heard of Build-A-Bear, but if not, here are the basics. You get to go into a shop, pick out a stuffed animal, stuff it and put a heart in it, then dress it and take it home! I am such a kid when it comes to this place. I absolutely love it. I have four teddy bears of my own, each with their own personality. :)

Build-A-Bear was awesome enough to send me their Mother’s Day promotion – a tote bag and $15 shutterfly® offer – as well as a darling mini Good Housekeeping seal that came with a year’s subscription to Good Housekeeping magazine. You can buy the seal at participating Build-A-Bear locations for only $8 (way cheaper than the cost of a year’s subscription) AND they donate $0.50 from each seal sale to the World Wildlife Fund to protect endangered animals and their habitats. How cool is that?!

I love the tote bag and plan to use it for grocery shopping. It's hot pink and black, you don't get much better than that. The seal was an absolute HIT with both Punk and Turbo the kitty. I got him during the week when Punk wasn't here, and had all intentions of giving it to her when she got to our house. However, Turbo had other ideas. I opened the box and pulled him out onto the table. Then I went into the other room for probably 30 seconds, and when I got back, Turbo had already pulled him down and was mauling him in the living room. I took him away, and no later than 2 minutes later, he was already fighting me for the seal again. I gave up and finally let him have it; he was dead-set that was his seal. When Punk got to our house, I told her the story and told her she would have to fight him for it. Well, he won. The seal now resides underneath Turbo's chair and is constantly being mauled and wrestled. Poor thing!
